PHFC were on the verge of quitting the Stanford 7aside league but kept together to play out the remainder of the season
five. They joked maybe they would stick around if they produced some sort of amazing unbeaten run, and after tasting defeat
in their first 4 games they stunned the footballing world to go unbeaten, winning 5 of their last 6 games. Well
PHFC did decide the give it one more season, and included some key new signings; Arron Lockwood, Fraser Kidd, and Lee Horncastle
have given the team a new balance, and tonight they kicked off the new season against old foe's Shenfield Wednesday. Sadly
it didnt end in the result they were looking for, but the match did see PHFC wearing their new kit, which was identical to
the one they wore back in the early 11aside days. Heres to a long and hopefully succesful season ahead...

Goalkeeper Grant Bell will be out of action throughout the month of June, so PHFC have acted fast to sign goalkeeper
Patrick Mosley on loan from 'The Business', who currently play in Division Four. Pat made his debut last night against Inter
Minan and had a solid game, despite the 4v1 defeat. Adam Nicholls also made his PHFC 7aside debut last night after featuring
for us in an 11aside game back in 2006. Adam will provide cover for the squad. Gavin Boseley is expected to recover from his
shoulder injury in time to face Breast Rummage Albion next Monday, and Rory Cooke will also be available for selection.

Jamie Barton, PHFC's star striker, has received his trophey's for finishing top goal scorer in each of PHFC's first two

Jamie actually finished the first season as joint top goalscorer with Richard Serowka, Gavin Boseley, and Michael Lee....

Efforts are being stepped up to arrange a fixture against Lee Jones's new store over at Thurrock Retail Park. A likely venue
is James Hornsby School in Laindon on a saturday night in November. There is a little resistance to the idea at the moment
which is hoped will be overcome in the next few weeks.
The PHFC 6Aside team is beginning to make waves in the Sunday Basildon League, after a lowkey start the team is beginning
to settle. The side is made up of Rob Harlow, Richard Serowka, Lee Jones, Daniel Pettit, James Buck and ex player Paul Fell
(who starred in PHFC's defeat to Westgate in 2002). To keep up to date please check out the PHFC6Aside Website....

Injury News. The knocks appear to be healing, Serowka still has a sore calf muscle but isn't fazed and it eagily anticipating
the weekend of football. Slaven & Clifford are still nursing injurys but again shouldn't be considered serious doubts
for the weekend.

Last sunday PHFC we left with the heartbreaking decision not to travel to Bournemouth for the Argos Southern Region Tournament.
With one squad member dropping out on friday night, it was a frantic race to find a replacement, a replacement was found saturday

PHFC informed the tournament organisers of their decision to withdraw saturday night. Richard Serowka said "Im gutted,

also less than pleased, "It's not fair, we was gonna win this, no doubt!"
PHFC face the prospect of a summer without competitive football, Thurrock Retail Park Argos are preparing a team to challenge
PHFC, but a date is still to be confirmed. Sommerfield's Argos have accepted a friendly match, but havent replied to the June

In five days time, PHFC will be challenging for the Argos Southern Region Football Tournament in Bournemouth.
Virus Stricken Richard Serowka is confident of being fit enough to make the journey and help his side to victory. He will
make a return to work tonight.
The team are still awaiting their information pack on the tournament which contains the locations, rules and fixtures,
but with this week containing a bank hoilday, its likely to arrive today or tomorrow at the latest.
The final and confirmed squad is Richard Serowka, Lee Jones, Kris Slaven, Robin Linham, Craig Burnett and Ashley Garbould.
The line up is quite complicated because the team are not taking a goalkeeper. Heres a brief explanation of how it will
work.....
*Goalkeeper position is rotated so that everyone gets an equal share in goal.
*When not in goal, Ashley Garbould will play defence.
*When not in goal, Richard Serowka will play midfield.
*When not in goal, Kris Slaven will play in midfield.
*When not in goal, Lee Jones & Craig Burnett will rotate between defence n striker.
*When not in goal, Robin Linham will play the position freed up by who is playing in goal (eg when Kris is in goal, Robin
will play midfield).

Yesterday afternoon PHFC divided (for this week only) into two teams to give the 'Bournemouth team' a good warm up for Sunday's
tournament. Danny Garbould has withdrawn from the team and his place has gone to younger brother Ashley. So Ashley, Robin,
Richard, Kris, Lee and Craig lined up against Jamie, Dave, Ian, Damien, Danny and Daniel, with Nick Mottram keeping goal.
Some delightful football was played, one stunning moment involved Craig controlling a long pass, knocking it to Richard who
volleyed first time to Lee, Lee then hit it back to Craig who again found Richard, his cross was met by Robin but his header
came back off the post. The score was 11v6 to the 'Bournemouth team'.
Richard Serowka, one of the boys travelling to Bournemouth is fighting to be fit for Sunday's big game. He is currently
fighting a virus and maybe a doubt for the trip.
In other fixture news, Jamie Coulson and David Anderson have fixed up a friendly match against Billericay Sommerfields.
The match date is still to be arranged, but the end of June is a likely date.
|
Friday 27th May 2005

Danny Garbould has been confirmed as the sixth and final PHFC player to travel to Bournemouth for the tournament on June 5th.
He joins Serowka, Jones, Linham, Slaven and Burnett in the 6aside squad.
Harlow, Anderson, Clifford, A.Garbould, Coulson and the Pettit brothers are to stay behind due to work commitments.

Bournemouth on Sunday June 5th 2005.
The travelling squad will be:
*Richard Serowka
*Lee Jones
*Kris Slaven
*Robin Linham
*Craig Burnett
*tbc
The last squad place is expected to be filled by Danny Garbould. As goalkeeper Robert Harlow is unavaliable, the goalkeeper
position will be rotated amongst the 6 players.
PHFC will travel to Bournemouth on Saturday 4th June and check into a local BnB before playing the tournament on the Sunday.
More news as and when we get it!

Wednesday 11th May 2005
|
PHFC have had an offer accepted for a friendly match from a local firm, as of yet their identity is still unknown, all that
is known is that the majority of their players are in their 40's and are apparently, and I quote "shitting themselves"
about playing a team with such youth. The date is still to be arranged as soon as a suitable venue can be found, the problem
being that alot of the goalposts around the region have been removed in favour of the cricket season. The choice is either
play jumpers for goalposts OR wait until pre-season (August/September).
PHFC are still awaiting word from a local XI, it now appears unlikely that any fixture would be played on May 22nd.
Midfielder Richard Serowka is spending the week working at Thurrock Retail Park Argos, and has made enquiry's about a
possible fixture. Early signs look good, an inside source has revealed they used to have a team but without matches lost interest,
this grudge fixture could well revamp their interest. Stockroom manager Daniel Hann, who recently left Pipps Hill said that
one of Thurrock's had trials with Chelsea. More detail should follow by the end of the week.
The Official DVD goes on general sale this saturday, priced at £5 and with £2.50 going to Argos's selected charity. The
disc features extended highlights of the 10v1 victory against Southend Airport. Please visit the club shop on this website
for more detail.
Danny Garbould, injured in the 10v1 Whizz Kids Cup triumph, has began walking again and hopes to be bit for PHFC's June
schedule. He will hopefully resume training again at the end of the month.

Friday 6th May 2005
|
PHFC defender Danny Garbould has revealed he will be kept out of action for at least a month following an injury picked up
in sundays victory over Southend. Garbould, 19, has picked up ligament damage in his foot which has left him in some pain
and unable to walk properly. A leading PHFC physio has told Danny he is not able to resume playing sports until at least June.
This could potentially rule him out of forthcoming fixtures against Westgate and another local XI.
PHFC have challenge a local XI to a friendly match and are awaiting a reponse, there was initial negotiations back in
april, but these talks appear to be stepping up now. The opposition is unknown at the present stage but two locations are
being touted for the fixture, Gloucester Park and Stanford Recreational Ground in Stanford-le-hope. Right-back David Anderson
continues to pressure Westgate into accepting a friendly fixture, although Dave said "they are all talk at the moment,
no-one is actually stepping up to arrange a team". More news to follow as it arrives.
Finally work was completed this morning on PHFC's latest DVD, the DVD includes the match coverage from the 10v1 drubbing
of Southend Airport. Richard Serowka & Kris Slaven are joined in the studio by Lee Jones, making his first appearence
for PHFC-tv. The DVD is jam-packed with extra's and exclusive material, make sure you pick up your copy from the club shop
on this site. It cost's £5 with £2.50 of that fee being paid into Argos's supported charity's, the last DVD in september raised
over £40 for Whizz Kids. The final stages of mass production is expected to commence this week, with the premier of the DVD
penciled in for sometime this week too.

PHFC have successfully defended their Whizz Kids Cup (or as Big D calls it ; the egg cup) with a crushing victory over Southend
Airport.
The boys were informed they were in for a tougher match than the 5v1 drubbing they handed out back in september, but they
doubled their tally this time reaching double figures with a 10v1 victory.
Top Scorer Jamie Coulson grabbed a hat-trick, Lee Jones scored twice whilst Kris Slaven and Damian Pettit opened their
PHFC accounts with two goals each. The rout was completed by an own goal from 'Mitch', incidently the guy who scored Southend's
only goal last time around. Southend's goal today came from the penalty spot from Paul Miles, the penalty having been awarded
when Dave Anderson used his hand to save a goal-bound effort.
A full match report will appear here on the site in the next couple of days on the SCHEDULE page. Keep an eye out for
it.

BIG MATCH BUILD-UP!
SIX DAYS TO GO
PHFC have been busy preparing for the Whizz Kids Cup rematch against Southend this sunday. The team held their final official
training session on sunday at Gloucester Park and reported no new injury concerns. Danny Garbould came through the session
but finished with heavy blisters, something he is confident will be ok by sunday.
PHFCtv camera's were there to capture the session and catch up with a few of the players ahead of the game. Their interviews
are now avaliable to download from this site using this link

Tuesday 20th April 2005
|
With just ten days to go until the Whizz Kids Cup clash with Southend Airport Argos, PHFC have once again got more innjury
problems.
Goalkeeper Robert Harlow is struggling to be fit after injuring his foot during a prank at college, while star center back
Danny Garbould injured his knee in a training ground collision with Ian Clifford on sunday.
Harlow is confident of being fit enough to face Southend on May 1st but Garbould is less optismistic, "I can't play
any competitive football on sunday, i need to rest my leg so I'm ok for Southend". If he doesnt make it in time for the
match his place is likely to be taken by either the fit again Robin Linham or Ian Clifford, who was supposed to be rested
for the fixture.
Early team-news suggests that Dave Anderson will start at right back and an experienced midfield of Kris Slaven, Lee Jones,
Craig Burnett and Richard Serowka. Top scorer Jamie Coulson is expected to keep his place upfront and he will be partnered
by either Damian Pettit or Robin Linham.
Southend Airport have declared the match is a Whizz Kids Cup fixture, this means PHFC will have to bring along their trophey
they won in september and try to defend it. It wont be easy, the Southend line-up in much changed to the first XI that was
fielded last year and a more experienced side will look to bring keep the cup in Southend.
For all the build up next week keep checking back to https://argosfootball.tripod.com/phfc

PHFC have challenged local rivals Argos Basildon Westgate to a friendly football match on Sunday May 22nd 2005. PHFC are still
awaiting a response from their neighbours but it is widely believed that Westgate have been quietly building together a team
to take on PHFC.
PHFC have also applied to take part in the Argos Southern Region 6aside football tournament in Bournmouth on Sunday June
5th. The team has been placed on a reserve list, and they hope to hear soon if they have been accepted.
PHFC are still awaiting news from Sports Soccer of Lakeside, who showed early interest in arranging a match.
Cosco's could also provide future opposition after PHFC enquired about the possibilty of organising a fixture.
|
Monday 11th April 2005
|
Southend Airport have rescheduled their fixture against PHFC for Sunday 1st May 2005 instead of April 24th. The decision to
put the fixture back one week was made after many of the Southend players pulled out of the game due to hoilday commitments.
Goaly Rob Harlow suffered an injury to his foot which leaves him with a race to get fit for the fixture. Robin Linham
has set his sits on returning in the Southend game after recovering from a fractured leg.

Sunday 3rd April 2005
|
PHFC this week have been in busy negotiations putting together their summer fixture list. Having seen an approach to Allsports
(lakeside) and Argos (lakeside) rejected, PHFC have had some interest from Sports Soccer down Lakeside. Negotiations are still
at a very early stage but a fixture during may is looking a possibility with Gloucester Park or possibly a sutible venue in
Thurrock being considered.
More interesting developments are being leaked from talks with an amateur side from Stoke-On-Trent. Stoke White Sharks
are an all girls team with players aged between 16 and 17, they will be no pushovers though, they recently beat a Stoke City
U18 side 5v2 and are still on a high from being crowned 2005 McDonald's Cup Champions. Last weekend they added to their trophey
cabinet by being crowned South Shield's League Winners for the first time, and now they feel ready to face the mighty PHFC.
A match could be arranged for as early as June of this year, the major stumbling block being travel arrangments by the White
Sharks, who face a long tiring journey down south for the match.
Stoke striker who recently turned goalkeeper Leanne Cork revealled,
"It's going be really hard to play PHFC because most our girls are really flirty so no doubt when we go
in for a tackle we would be grabbin your arses and everything."
The girl's expect to travel down for a long weekend and take in the sites of Essex whilst down here. With further details
expected soon, this is the place to find out the latest fixture news, so please keep coming back.

Argos Southend Airport have challenged PHFC to another match in Southend and a date has been set for Sunday April 24th 2005.
The match is due to take place at Priory Park, the scene of PHFC's Whizz Kids Cup Triumph last autumn. Southend Airport's
P.A. Jemima Beale insists her side are better equiped this time around and are intent on overturning the 5v1 scoreline from
last time. The kick off time is still to be announced although a 5.15pm kick-off is the most realistic at the moment. PHFC
would welcome any fans who want to come down and cheer on the boys!

PHFC have had some mixed injury news in the build up to the game with Robin Linham (fractured leg), Kris Slaven (personal
reasons), Dave Anderson (suspected fractured leg) and Richard Serowka (sprained arm) all doubts.
After passing a late fitness test, Serowka will retain his place on the right of midfield and Anderson was judged fit
enough to make the bench and hopefully get a late run-out. However last night it was confirmed that debutant goalkeeper Nick
Felton is out with flu so Rob Harlow is being pushed back in between the sticks, meaning Anderson is required to come through
a full 90minutes.
THE PHFC starting line-up is as follows:
GK: Robert Harlow
RB: Ian Clifford
CB: Ashley Garbould
CB: Dave Anderson
LB: Daniel Pettit
RM: Richard Serowka
CM: Damien Pettit
CM: Lee Jones
LM: Jamie Coulson
ST: Craig Burnett
ST: Danny Garbould

PHFC have accepted the challenge of a friendly match against a 'Cootey XI'.
The game will be played at Glouster Park this Sunday (27th March) with a 3.30pm kick off time. The game is expected to
be played on grass behind the astroturf. Everyone is welcome to come along and watch and cheer the boys on, the more fans
the merrier. The game is expected to be recorded again and a dvd highlights disc to be produced.
The 'Cootey XI' team will be made up of friends and guests of Richard Coote. Richard Coote is a friend of PHFC winger
Richard Serowka and the match was came about when Cootey's place of work, Somerfield's, couldn't get an XI together in time
so he asked his friends and is working on producing a his own dream team. Confirmed players already include Rory Cooke, Greg
Rose, Mark Wotherspoon.
PHFC's injury nightmare is showing no signs of easing up, Robin Linham was already ruled out with a fractured leg, Dave
Anderson is also out with the same injury while left winger Kris Slaven is away on a family hoilday. It got worse at training
on sunday when Richard Serowka sprained his arm attempting a goal-line clearance. Serowka is expected to be fit in time for
sunday however!
PHFC are likely to start with this line-up:
GK: Nick Felton, RB: Ian Clifford, CB: Ashley Garbould, CB: Robert Harlow, LB: Daniel Pettit, RM: Richard Serowka,
CM: Danny Garbould, CM: Damien Pettit, LM: Jamie Coulson, FW: Lee Jones, FW: Craig Burnett

PHFC's lift of casualty's are growing by the day. With their next expected match less than 2 weeks away, PHFC have revealed
they will have to make do without key midfield men Robin Linham and Kris Slaven. To make matter worse, back-up David Anderson
has also been ruled out with injury.
Linham returned home from a recent sking trip with a fractured leg whilst Kris Slaven will miss the Easter clash due to
hoilday commitments. The injury suffered by Anderson is still unclear although rumours circulating indicate he also has fractured
his leg. We would like to wish both players a speedy recovery.

CAN YOU HELP? Basildon PHFC want a match on Easter Sunday, the 27th of this month. But we need opposition, we will be willing
to play any store, Argos or not Argos, all we ask is that you could bring a team with a minimum of 11 players, boys or girls,
of a any standard. The venue would most likely be Glouster Park in Basildon, but we are willing to travel (not far though
lol). Email eastrek@hotmail.com if you want to challenge the mighty PHFC.
